Repeat Prescriptions

We offer four methods of obtaining prescriptions:

  • Use the prescription box at reception
    Place your green computer printout in the box with the items ticked that you require clearly marked. Make sure you have marked the slip clearly if the prescription is NOT to be collected from Southgates Medical Centre.
  • By post
    Please post to SMSC, 41 Goodwins Road, Kings Lynn, PE30 5QX. If you enclose a SAE we will post the prescription back to you.
  • Chemist collection service
    If you send your prescription request to us in one of the above two ways we can send it to a local chemist of your choice. Please indicate clearly on the slip which chemist you would like the prescription sent to. It is important that this is clearly marked on every request. If in doubt please ask at reception. It is our policy to have prescriptions ready for collection within 48 hours of receipt of request.
  • You can order your repeat prescriptions online. If you have registered to do so click here. If you wish to register for this service, please take photographic ID to our reception.

List of Clinics

District Nurses - Tel 777113 The nurses provide skilled care for patients living at home including dressings, injections and hospital after care.

Health Visitors - Tel 768949 The health visitors are specially qualified nurses attached to our practice who can provide information, advice and support to families with small children. They are also available to offer health advice to any of our patients.

Physiotherapy Clinics are available at the medical centre and appointments can be made at reception. You must be referred by your doctor.

Midwives - Tel 613613 The midwives work with the doctors to care for mothers before, during and after delivery and hold weekly antenatal clinics at the medical centre by appointment.

Counselling is a way of helping people who have personal problems to find their own way through their difficulties. The practice has a very experienced counsellor and a Primary care mental health worker available. Referrals must be made by your doctor. There is a small fee contribution to our subsidised counselling service. However, patients who cannot afford to pay can be subsidised by SOS, our patient group.

Phlebotomy For your convenience blood samples can be taken at the medical centre.

Practice Nurses A practice nurse is normally available between 9.00 am and 6.00 pm every weekday. Clinics are available for well person health checks, child immunisations, travel immunisations, asthma/copd and diabetes.

Smoking Cessation We offer, via our nursing team, a full range of smoking cessation support for our patients.
