Surgical Centre

Dr Alan Heath, our senior partner, is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and is also approved to undertake many surgical operations under local anaesthetic. This service is provided in our health authority approved specialist theatre within the coach house complex.

Dr Heath is supported by a fully qualified team of nurses and waiting times are short in comparison with general hospital waiting times.

If you need a minor operation simply make an appointment with your GP who will assess the appropriateness of onward referral to Dr Heath.

carpal tunnel
ganglion
vasectomy
hernia
hydrocele
lipoma
varicose veins
circumcision
excision of skin lesions – (some minor skin lesions are excluded on the NHS but can be undertaken privately for a modest fee)
in-growing toe nails
sigmoidoscopies
injection or banding of haemorrhoids.

Treatment includes pre-operative assessment, operation and all necessary follow up. This service is free (except for minor skin lesions) on the NHS.
